Pearl, Miss. – Survivors affected by the March 14th – 15th severe weather and tornadoes (DR - 4874) have until 11:59 p.m. tomorrow night, Tuesday July 22nd to apply for assistance. Individual Assistance was approved for Covington, Grenada, Issaquena, Itawamba, Jefferson Davis, Leflore, Marion, Montgomery, Pike, Smith, and Walthall Counties.
FEMA offers a range of assistance options to meet various needs. Those with losses resulting from the March 14th–15th tornadoes and severe storms should consider applying.
Survivors can apply by:
- Calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362. If you use video relay service, captioned telephone service, or others, give FEMA your number for that service.
- Going online to DisasterAssistance.gov
- Downloading the FEMA mobile app
MEMA continues to work with federal and local partners to help survivors with their recovery. As of July 21st, FEMA has distributed more than $23 million in individual assistance to the 9,359 residents with valid registrations. Affected households have also received more than $14 million in housing assistance. Applicants are reminded that even if you have insurance, you are still encouraged to apply—additional funds may be available.
