FEMA Awards Millions to Storm Victims

PEARL, Miss. (MEMA) – MEMA continues to work with our federal and local partners to help survivors of the March 14-15 storms and tornadoes with their recovery.  So far, more than 1800 residents have applied, and FEMA has given out more than $4.3 million in federal assistance to survivors. Applications are still being received each day, and applicants are reminded that even if you have insurance, you are still encouraged to apply—additional funds may be available to you. Remember, FEMA can’t pay for losses your insurance will cover.
