Pearl, MS- The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) will close operations at its Disaster Recovery Center at the Ministry Center in Grenada at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 26, and move to its new location Saturday at 1240 Fairground Road, Suite G, Grenada, MS on Saturday, June 27th.
MEMA has also successfully appealed its case to FEMA, requesting that Montgomery County be included on the list of approved counties for Public Assistance.
As of June 26th, 6,821 registrations have come in for disaster assistance, with $15.7 million approved to help families recover. MEMA, with collaboration from our local partners, continues to operate 5 disaster recovery centers across the state, and to date, has completed more than 4,931 inspections. There are presently more than 250 FEMA personnel in the State of Mississippi working alongside MEMA personnel, helping survivors.

Center hours are 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday - Saturday; closed on Sundays
Residents in the approved counties who sustained losses during the March 14-15 severe weather can apply for FEMA assistance by using the FEMA App, going online to DisasterAssistance.gov, or calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362. If you use a relay service such as Video Relay Service, captioned telephone, or other service, provide FEMA with your number for the service.
