Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities

Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) will support states, local communities, tribes and territories as they undertake hazard mitigation projects, reducing the risks they face from disasters and natural hazards.

The BRIC program guiding principles are supporting communities through capability- and capacity-building; encouraging and enabling innovation; promoting partnerships; enabling large projects; maintaining flexibility; and providing consistency.

What is the BRIC Program

The Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) grant program makes federal funds available to states, US Territories, federally recognized Tribal governments and local governments for hazard mitigation activities.

Who can Apply

Counties and Municipalities can submit applications for capability and capacity building activities, mitigation projects or management costs.

Where to Find Out Additional Information

Potential applicants must express an interest in participating in the program by February 6, 2025. Please send this information and all questions to mitigationgrants@mema.ms.gov.
