PEARL, Miss. – MEMA along with the Mississippi State Department of Health and the Mississippi National Guard spent the day distributing emergency supplies of Personal Protective Equipment to healthcare facilities and county agencies.
Twenty-five percent of the current state PPE inventory was distributed today, Saturday March 21, 2020, distributed as “push packages” across the state.
MEMA’s Executive Director, Greg Michel stated, “our efforts are to re-supply the districts and get as much PPE out in the field as we can for not only our healthcare workers, but also our first responders.”
More essential supplies will continue to be distributed across the state throughout the next several days.
