PEARL, Miss. (MEMA) – The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency continues to work with counties to assess damage from the severe weather on April 13, 2022. At this time, at least six tornadoes have been confirmed by the National Weather Service to have occurred in Mississippi on that date. Six injuries have been reported to MEMA (2-Alcorn, 1-Clarke, 3-Tippah).
Twenty-four counties have reported some sort of damage in their area. Ten counties have provided preliminary damage numbers to MEMA. These numbers are subject to change through the validation process:

MEMA encourages residents that sustained damage to their homes to report it to their counties using MEMA’s self-report tool.
